I was born in Boston and, besides a stint in San Francisco, was raised in Massachusetts and Connecticut with my three younger siblings and a dog named Pando. Since then, I’ve lived in New York, Cape Town, Washington, DC, and Maine. Now I live in Chicago, where I’m getting my PhD in film and media studies at Northwestern University. My writing is forthcoming in the anthology Surveilling America on Screen, and other than publishing in academic journals, I have written about books and movies and culture for sites like The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Literary Hub, and The Millions.
